Personality Friday With Mimi

“I started with competitions back then in primary school.” Johnson Noah

Good afternoon sir. This is Personality Friday With Mimi. Can we meet you?

Of course, yes.
My name is Johnson Noah .
And I’m happy to be a guest of today’s show.

We’re happy to have you also.
So, what do you do?

Oops..
I didn’t see this coming.
Well, I’m student at the University of Ilorin in the faculty of Art, department of English.

I’m also a professional Artist.
Currently a fresher, 100 Level student.

“A professional artist”
So, what made you decide to go for English and not Creative Art?

Ah!
( Shocked)

I didn’t choose English itself.
It was owing to circumstance that I was given the course.
Initially, I chose law (my dream course), but the institution changed their cutoff mark and I couldn’t meet the cutoff. So, I switched to English.

I didn’t chose creative art because it’s my talent, and I find it quite different from my educational aspect.

Okay.
So, how has studying English been?
Would you still like to study Law?

Smile..
My studying law issue will be confidential for now.

Let’s move on …

No qualms.
So, how did you start drawing?

Boom 🔥🔥🔥
I started with competitions back then in primary school.
I had many friends who knew how to draw. Then, we would just take cartoons and draw.

Displaying it for appraisal by other students.
Funnily enough, I’d come second even though I always thought it was a cheat.

From there, I started drawing and getting to improve day by day.

Wow!
It started as a child’s play.

Yep..
Then, I discovered the hidden talent.

That’s cool!
If you were asked to describe art, what would you say it is to you?

To me, art is passion 🥰🥰

What else do you do aside drawing?

I dance and play football.
I write too, but not constant.

Writing? That’s cool!
What do you write on?

I write on societal ills.
Or let me just say, satire.

What motivates you?

Reading and other issues around me motivates me.

What do you have to say to other youths out there?

What I have to say to other youths out there is this :

“Work for your dreams and help others achieve theirs if you are in the place to do that. .”
