Personality Friday With Mimi

When I start to hear all kinds of beat…” Akorede Jeremiah

Good evening sir. This is Personality Friday With Mimi. Can we meet you?

Yes, I’m Akorede Jeremiah.

So, what do you do?

Well, I’m a producer and as well a songwriter.

Can you tell us about your journey towards becoming a producer?

It’s been my long time dream to be a producer but then, no money to either learn or buy instruments but thanks to God.

Do you just produce anything or you’re specifically into a type of production?

I’m specifically into production of Hip pop music 🎶

Okay..
So, can you share with us the nature of your job as a producer?

Well, it’s somehow hard to be a producer but it’s easy as well.

Given the choice, would you prefer to miss a deadline to make a project perfect or meet a deadline but risk the quality of the production?

I would prefer to miss a deadline to make a project perfect.

Do you have any reason for that?

Yes, it is because I don’t want any complain outside the box. I prefer a perfect job.

Alright..

So, what first got you into music?

Actually, nothing but I just discovered that I got the talent of playing drums and some other instruments.

People have different things that give them inspiration, what’s yours?

When I start to hear all kinds of beat, inspiration would come actually.

Interesting..

Can you remember the first time you wrote a song?

How was the feeling ?

Hmmmm… it actually felt good for me because I was so happy to have written a song and produced it out.

Which song is your favourite amongst those you’ve written?

Better Days

What’s the song all about and what was the inspiration behind it?

The song is all about waiting ahead for the better days, you should not panic in any situation you might find yourself because better days is still ahead of you.

Amazing!
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you while working on a song?

That’s when I’m recording a song and there should be a mistake always. Though, it hurts a lot because you would be stressed out.

What would you advise an aspiring producer do?

I would advice them to focus on their dream in order to achieve their goal and it is better for a good producer to learn and go to school.
